The bus dumped my brother and me out after a very long ride and we wandered the dark and cloistered medieval streets looking for our hidden hostel. It was magical. Exploring the next morning was so exciting - to the Alhambra and all around. Of course, I was more interested in the neighborhood context near the base of this great fortress. Adding color to this one really brings the warmth of the Andalusian sun on terracotta roofs to my mind.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI made the ink drawings while traveling with my brother over holiday break in 2007; the travel was a generous gift from the architect I worked for in Savannah Georgia.
