We spent one night in our solitary cells. We ate simply. Time was reckoned by the bells and chants. I tried to capture Le Corbusier’s forms, the paths and coves, the shadows and punctuated lights.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI made the ink drawings as an undergraduate architecture student on travel study abroad with the College of Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Tech in 1998.
