With each block painted by hand, an original watercolor of L'Enfant's city plan enfolded by the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers is just stunning on the wall of your office, business or home, or a wonderful wedding or anniversary gift to be treasured. The deckled edge of the handmade rough watercolor paper would look so nice "float-framed" in a larger frame, like 28" x 28".
*This is an original watercolor block painting created in my Tacoma studio, in 2025. It began as a commission for a client in navy blue only. I spilled a bit of paint on the border and had to start again. This 1/5-complete piece sat in my flat file for several months before I decided to give it a life - in more vibrant color! Earthy browns, pinks, greens and ochres complement the original navy blue blocks. Each block watercolored by hand. Paint "damage" on border is shown in the photos here.
