Explore the island country of Malta with your eyes, ramble along its roads and paddle along its jagged coastline. Valletta's iconic architecture is represented in my sketch of St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral and its surrounding cityscape as seen from the Mediterranean Sea, including a traditional boat at the shore.
This is an original, mixed-media Art Map. Torn pieces of a watercolor painting are collaged to form the island nation and its Mediterranean surroundings. The beiges and light pinks recall the stone architecture and seashells of Malta. My hand-drawn sketch of the view of Valletta from the harbor is printed onto the watercolor paper in warm grey.
