SACKETS HARBOR New York is the site of an important battle of the War of 1812 and a charming, laid back community and summer vacation spot on Lake Ontario. Its plan features a small but distinct town core near the harbor and a former military post from the early 1800s called Madison Barracks - now redeveloped as private homes and community services. Both areas are marked by historic architecture, with many beautiful stone edifices as well as brick buildings from the Victorian period.
This is a POSTCARD of my original watercolor painting in tones of lake blue.
