My hand-drawn depicts the historic city strategically positioned on the peninsula, founded in 1670, and its defensive fortress where the Battery stands today. The homes of "genteel" planters eventually lined the Battery while plantations lined the river. The city's magnificent architecture resulted from planter trade, both reliant on slavery. African influences in food, culture and craft are a significant story of Charleston, as well as the historically untold story of enslaved persons. A top tourism destination for its gourmet food, beautifully manicured, walkable historic neighborhoods and coastal breezes - and increasingly more accurate heritage tourism.
This is a PRINT. My hand-drawn map lines are turned white over my watercolor wash in tones of light blue.

8" x 10", 11" x 14" and 16" x 20" are the best print sizes to purchase if you'd like to find a frame "off the shelf" instead of custom framing. Prints have a border so no mat is required - just pop it in the frame of the same size and hang!
If you'd prefer a square print, just purchase the size that matches the width you'd like, leave a note at checkout to make it square and I will make it square! If my print widths available in menu do not match your preference, send me a note with an alternate size. I can print from 5" x 5" to 17" x 17" - Thanks!
