YOUR CITY Custom Urban Fabrics City Map: PRINT

Custom Map commission of Your City/Town/Area within the "Urban Fabrics" Collection.

I will draw your city or town to fit the boundaries you determine and include the places that are significant to you. Once we determine the boundaries of the map with your approval, I will draw the city streets, water and railroads in ink, by hand. Then, my hand-drawn map lines are turned white and digitally merged with your choice of my "Urban Fabrics" Paintings, each a layering of many hand-painted and drawn marks in watercolor, handmade pigment and graphite. The result will be a PRINT of your map (not an original painting.) A bold yet modest title in "Urban Fabric Text" floats along the bottom of your final print.

The "Urban Fabrics" Print Collection features 60+ Cities in 6 Color ways, featuring my paintings:

COAL: Striking black and white brush marks and ink lines, with brown ochre pigment.

ROCK: Neutral tones of beige and grey with a touch of blush.

EARTH: Earthy pinks, gold, rich warm browns in brush strokes with graphite marks.

RIVER: Moody blue-greens with graphite and my handmade ochre pigment.

WAVES: Deep watery blues with wavy graphite lines.

GRASS: Wispy strokes evoke blades of grass, with pink and gold interwoven.

Your Map is created just for you. Please also use the FORM to send me the name of the city and a clear idea of the area you'd like to represent - specific neighborhood(s) or sites. Generally, a 2 - 4 mile radius from center is a reasonable size for a larger map, 1 - 2 mile radius for a small map. Also, is there a special spot around which the map should center? Or a special spot to mark on the map with a small white heart, house or dot? Please fill out the form at checkout. I will contact you via email soon after your purchase of this commission.

With this commission, you are also entitled to purchase up to ten prints of your Map at half cost! Give prints as gifts to friends and family. Keep a print for yourself if the commissioned piece is a gift. Win-win.
