My hand-drawn + collaged map-drawing documents the architectural street wall that wraps its perimeter, including the Aaron Champion/Harper-Fowlkes House and Morel homes of 117-119 West Perry. Like most of Savannah's Squares, live oaks and spanish moss populate the Square. The brilliant turquoise and cream German Memorial Fountain honoring German settlement in Savannah and America crowns the center of the Square, and its southwestern edges offer evidence of Savannah's mid-century Urban Renewal mistakes - and ripe ground for new ideas of the 21st century.
