I love the complexity and density of historic cities! It's fascinating to roam with your eye over the streets of Watertown, abstracted into a figure/ground, or block, plan. The way all the different grids reconcile themselves to each other and to the Black River as it carves through the city. This map includes the city blocks bounded by Massey St. and I-81 to the west and Thompson Park on the southeast corner. The northern boundary includes the Bradley St. exit from I-81 and the southern boundary falls just north of Summit St. at Washington.
